William Liebel Carlock

	William Liebel Carlock, 77, of DuQuoin, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2001 at his residence.
	Bill was a retired salesman for Deerborn Chemical Co., a division of W.R. Grace Company.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of DuQuoin and the United States LST Assoc.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II.
	He was born November 7, 1923 at DuQuoin, the son of William A. and Lula L. (Loftin) Carlock.  He married Jo Ann Alvis on August 17, 1946 at DuQuoin and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of DuQuoin; daughter, Billie Jo Shepard and husband Wayne of DuQuoin; son, John Wayne Carlock, and wife Lorna of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Robert W. Carlock of Puna Gorda, Fla.; sister, Maxine Carter of Elkville; seven grandchildren, Teresa Craig and husband Lance, Timothy Shepard and wife Erica, Tracy Robbins and husband Cory, Christina Akerman and husband chris, Jane Stafford and husband Craig, Charity Rochell and husband Ryan and Jonathan Carlock; five great grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Craig, Brendon Shepard, Kegan and Conner Robbins.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a great-grandson, Timothy Logan Shepard.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 4 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home.
	 Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
	Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Hospice.
